A Christmas Box

I think I’ve made it pretty clear that what I want for Christmas,
it’s not something you can put into a box
Every year it comes round like it’s never been before
Soon I’ll look outside and see the snow
That’s when you know, it’s Christmas time
It’s that time of year again, sending all of my Christmas cards
The tinsel and the trees come out, every house every street
There’s something in the air tonight if you can hear beneath the bells
There’s something in the air tonight that can only be Christmas
Ready wrapping presents while the snow comes down
All the final touches because it’s Christmas in the morning
When markets come to town
With blankets round the fire
With presents passed around
We’ll sing 2000 miles
And blazing bold and bright,
their faces as they shine,
will keep us warm tonight,
then you’ll know it’s Christmas time.
I think I’ve made it pretty clear that what I want for Christmas,
it’s not something you can put into a box
We’ve all grown up so much this year,
Through ups and downs we still made it here
Some lonely days, some sleepless nights, but now it’s time to get up!
Ready wrapping presents while the snow comes down
All the final touches because it’s Christmas in the morning, and it’s coming tomorrow!
When markets come to town
With blankets round the fire
With presents passed around
We’ll sing 2000 miles
And blazing bold and bright,
their faces as they shine,
will keep us warm tonight,
then you’ll know it’s Christmas time.
It’s the time I sing Christmas songs
But we don’t care if the words are wrong
Everybody’s coming round and everybody’s ready
Everyone is welcome in our home tonight
Turning down the music at the end of the night
I open the door, bring in the new year with you
When markets come to town
With blankets round the fire
With presents passed around
We’ll sing 2000 miles
And blazing bold and bright,
their faces as they shine,
will keep us warm tonight,
then you’ll know it’s Christmas time.
